WOW!

I found out today at my OB appointment that I am 3 cm dilated and about 80% effaced!!! That shocked me! The doctor said I would probably go within the next 2 weeks! I am hoping that I keep them in until 37 weeks though. I want them to bake as long as possible! But knowing it could quite possibly happen very soon - wow! I was nervous about delivery before, and now just more so!

Oh, and they must NOT come March 5th or 6th because my OB will be at a wedding in Mexico. Anytime before, or preferably after that, would be fine. I like that they are to call him - even if he is not on call! That makes me feel a lot better because I love my OB and he knows what he's doing and is confident in doing twin vaginal births.

We still need to install the car seats! Hubby was going to do it last weekend, and then we didn't get around to it. I also need to find a place that will schedule an appointment to check my seats! I called the highway patrol yesterday and she told me they didn't do appointments - even though online it said they did. So I'm going to call other places today.

I can't believe they will be here so soon!!!!

Well now that the time is in the near future as opposed to the far off future, we need another belly shot! After all you've gone through, I'm sure you'll be able to handle labor just fine. Good luck!

if it helps, (it SURE HELPED US!!)
I highly reccomend contacting your department of motor vehicles, they often have a safe carseat installer days there, and these people here installed our 3 carseats for our triplets, and saved their lives in our recent car accident. We were rear ended, and the babies were so secured, they didnt even wake up. i had no idea some of the amazing things they do to keep the babes secured, especially 3 infant bases on a bench seat, and it was free. I highly highly reccomend it for safety and sanity reasons. Good luck!!

OMG! I can't believe that it is almost time for the girls to be here- it seems like just yesterday (ok, to me, I am sure definitely not to you LOL) that you were announcing that the IUI worked and you had that BFP... I can only imagine how excited you guys are getting right now! Hubby and I just got back from Seattle- and I hadn't been caught up on anyone's blogs (he told me I was on vacation- I needed my fix darn it!) I am so glad that everything is going well- their weights sound awesome! So just take it easy- nothing strenuous, no spicy foods, no hanky panky....LOL :) and hopefully the girls will hang out until after the wedding for Dr. O!
As for the car seats- check with the fire department (I think you said you checked with the police) anon. also had a good suggest. with the DMV- I don't know if your hospital does it or not- but the hospital that I work at does car seat checks several times a week- you might give your hospital a call to see if they offer that- who knows? When you are up to it- or have the hubby take some- we need some new pics of the belly and the finished nursery! Hang in there only a few more weeks to go- you are so close to the finish line- I am so happy for you!!! Take Care- I am keeping you all in my thoughts every day and sending you tons and tons of love!

Congrats on being so close to meeting your girls!!

My BIL is a fire fighter and he told me they do car seat inspections for free at all the fire houses. You might want to check there.

FWIW, the CHP in San Diego may not take appointments, but the CHP in Oceanside does and they are VERY thorough.
